The Louise Bailey Webb Scholarship Award at Second Mt. Zion

This scholarship is open to 2026 high school graduating seniors who are members of Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Applicants must complete the application in its entirety to be considered for one of the scholarships.  The amount of the scholarship is $1,000. 

Requested information from applicants includes: 

     1. The completed application form 
     2. A one-page, single-spaced, typed essay entitled, “Why I Am Deserving of This 

         Scholarship Award” 
     3. Two letters of recommendation:
          a. From either your high school principal, a teacher, or a counselor 
          b. From a ministry leader in an area in which you are active at Second Mt. Zion 
     4. Official high school transcript with the high school’s seal. The transcript must be 

          sealed in an envelope from the school counselor’s office. 

     5. Being available for an interview (the Committee will schedule) 

The application packet must be submitted by Wednesday, April 29, 2026 (online or via mail) to:
